With thousands of elves working away, it is important that the elves undertake training when required to understand their role in health and safety along with the need to comprehend and be aware of global standards as well as the culture at the North Pole.
Mobile Elearning without an e-mail
Our elves on the shelves have been working remotely since 2005, this drastically impacted our need for training, before technology it was hours of inhouse classroom training, we had to organise a room to accommodate all, then a trainer and equipment and then get everyone there on time, followed by all the paper work.
This took hours of admin and not to mention the elves’ time.
Today we use Bluezone Manager Mobile learning app, we assign the training or toolbox talk direct to the elf’s mobile, they don’t even need an email address. They take the course, and we know instantly their status, so we have a real time training matrix. A certificate is issued direct to the mobile app and we keep a digital copy. If refresher training is necessary, we just set up the reminder to the required frequency and the renewal course goes out.
The elves, especially the shelves guys have a bit of reputation, but they get a daily reminder to ensure they don’t forget about the training. It has revolutionised how we operate!
